چکیده

Objective. To determine the phenotypic manifestations of essential arterial hypertension (EAH) according to vitamin D receptor gene polymorphism (VDR rs10735810, rs2228570).Material and methods. The case-control study involved 100 patients with EAH stage II, 1-3 degrees blood pressure (BP), high very cardiovascular risk, 21% (21) men, 79% (79) women. mean age was 59.86 ± 6.22 y.o. control group consisted 60 healthy individuals, comparable in gender. VDR (rs10735810, rs2228570) performed a qualitative polymerase chain reaction real-time. Results. Almost half elevated normal BP (44.4%) 34% 2-3 d. there is concomitant diabetes mellitus (DM) type 2, while for 1 it only 19%. Obesity shown 53% EAH: average - 21%, among 25%. In group, 16% suffered from obesity. distribution genotypes presence DM showed that present 35% AA-genotype, which 1.6 times more often than GG-genotype (22%). Most smokers (26%), twice as common those AA- AG-genotype (13% 14%, respectively). most met carriers 74%, 14%. An level waist-hip ratio (WHR) women 80% AA-genotype carriers, all had values. 76% 81% WHR increased by 2.3 2.8 times, respectively, group. Deviations systolic diastolic polymorphic variants have not been established.Conclusions. associated 2 women; BMI, especially men.

Taq1 Polymorphism (rs731236) of Vitamin D Receptor Gene in Children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Background: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common childhood cancer. Several studies have shown that ALL occurs as a result of genetic abnormalities. 1, 25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3 as a secosteroid hormone plays an important role in different metabolic pathways. The normal function of vitamin D occurs via binding to a ligand-activated transcription factor i.e. vitamin D receptor (VDR)...

The Association of Vitamin D Receptor Gene BsmI Polymorphism with Multiple Sclerosis in Iranian Patients

Background & Aims: 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1,25 (OH)2 D3), the biologically active form of vitamin D, exerts an immunosuppressive effect through binding to its specific nuclear receptor. The present case-control study was done to examine the possible association of BsmI polymorphism in vitamin D receptor gene (VDR gene) with severity of multiple sclerosis (MS). Methods: 267 Iranian patients w...

Is there any association between a vitamin D receptor gene polymorphism (FokI) and pemphigus vulgaris?

Background: Pemphigus vulgaris (PV) is an autoimmune bullous disease of the skin and mucous membranes caused by activation and proliferation of T cells, production of Th2 cytokine profile and pathogenic antibodies. Vitamin D is a probable immunodeviator to Th2, which its actions are mediated through the vitamin D receptor (VDR). FokI is the only single nucleot...

Vitamin d receptor gene polymorphism and vitamin d plasma concentration: correlation with susceptibility to tuberculosis.

PURPOSE It is estimated that one third of the world's population were infected with M. tuberculosis, but only 10% of them have developed in to disease form. This subject refers to differences in host immune system activity against the tuberculosis. Vitamin D and its receptor (VDR) are important factors in the host innate immune system against the tuberculosis. In the present study VDR gene poly...

Association of prostate cancer with vitamin D receptor gene polymorphism.

The incidence of prostate cancer in the United States is second only to skin cancers, and the disease kills almost the same number of men as breast cancer does women. Relatively few risk factors are known for prostate cancer, although several lines of evidence suggest that vitamin D may be an important determinant of prostate cancer risk. A series of common polymorphisms in the vitamin D recept...
